Have you read my last post on earning money by writing reviews? I listed some of the best Get-Paid-To-Review sites there in the post which allow you to earn money for writing reviews.
This post is also about get-paid-to-review site but from a broader view. I’m going to make you think like the owners of those paid-to-review sites.
First, let me tell you one thing frankly….
Yes, you can definitely make money by writing reviews for such sites, but this should not be a primary income source. Because you cannot be dependent on these sites for your lifetime. Most reviewers take these sites just to earn some extra bucks which add to their primary income.
But for the owners of the sites, they might be the primary income source. Because that’s their business!
So, without giving your shots to write reviews, can you create your own review site that pays and make that your primary income source? Can that be your business?
Read the rest of this post where I’m crafting and sharing a website idea similar to get-paid-to-review sites. Perhaps, this can be your business.
You must have already guessed it.
The working of this website idea is just like a get-paid-to-review site. You create a powerful platform for advertisers who want to promote their products and services through reviews and spread the message through the power of social media.
On the other hand, you source writers/bloggers/reviewers who can make money by writing reviews for the advertisers.
Hence, you act as a broker for the two parties – Advertisers and Writers. You share a percentage of the revenue with the writers earned from the advertisers.
If that’s what you already know and you think it’s an old concept, then keep reading…
While most of the get-paid-to-review sites work without geographical boundaries, let’s keep this idea within a city only. This is how the idea is going to differ from the other sites. It will work locally only.
The site should be a platform for advertisers to promote their services and products within the city. But, unlike classifieds (which are also used for promotion), this site will provide real reviews by users.
For example, a restaurant owner wants to promote its new recipe through a review. The reviewer visits the restaurant, tastes it and then writes an honest review.
The same goes with, say, Nokia while launching a new smart phone in the city. The reviewer gets to use the phone for free before writing about it.
Finding good reviewers would be an important aspect for this site. But it won’t be much difficult to get them as there is reward in the form of money.
The best way is to do some campaigns in colleges and get the students, who are interested in writing, for sign-ups. It would be fun for them to make extra money while doing reviews.
Local bloggers might also be interested in doing reviews as it is related to something they already do.
This part is a bit tricky and it depends on you how you want your site to be. Most get-paid-to-review sites, ask advertisers to select a reviewer from the database and offer the opportunity to write. The reviewer then may reject or accept the offer.
The selection is generally based on the reviewer’s interest areas of writing, previous reviews, blog’s performance, etc.
On the other hand, some sites have live offers which the reviewers can apply to write. The advertisers then accept or reject them according to their needs.
This is again a tricky one. Since the website is confined to a specific location, it won’t be a good idea to publish the reviews elsewhere.
Only a few review sites that pay have the option to publish post within the site. Most of them only act as brokers and reviews are published on the writers’ blogs.
But the website idea in concern, being local, might not have reviewers who have their own popular blogs. So, it would be better to publish the reviews within the site. It would help in building a community of local reviewers. To make it more engaging, features like comments, ratings, social sharing, etc. can be included.
That’s all about the Local Get Paid-To-Review Website Idea. What are your thoughts on it?
I know, an idea cannot be judged as complete. The flaws of any idea can only be seen clearly when action is taken on the idea.
However, a discussion can always help to make it better. So, please share your views in comments!
